PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE RIPP-OFF AT DALAMAN AIRPORT >>> READ MORE

Transportation is very easy in and around Sarigerme ;

From the Hotel to the Village by Taxi is 7 YTL (about £3 ) ,in my oppinion you can enjoy the 15 minutes walk to the Village ...See how you feel ...
Also Shuttle Bus service has started from the Iberostar Palace and tropical to the Village for 1 TL per person ...You need to walk to the maingate , and you can see there a Shuttle Bus ,if not you can allways ask the Security Guard for a Taxi ..

If you wish to go to Ortaca (next town) ,then walk down to the maingate ,every hour there will be a Dolmush (Shuttle Bus) waiting.with this shuttle Bus you can get to Village and from the Village every Half Hour there will be shuttle Buses lieving to Ortaca.

YOU CAN NOT PAY YOUR TAXI FEE WITH CREDIT /DEBIT CARD ..MUST BE IN CASH ,AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOT ENOUGH CHANGE . FOREIGN CURRENCY MAY BE NOT THE CORRECT WAY OF PAYMENT. (sorry , I don't try to say that you are stupid , but I have been told that some tourist are trying to pay by credit card -how stupid is that ? )

DID YOU KNOW ?

There is a Tractor Shuttle Service for free of charge from the Village to the Sarigerme Beach and back... it takes about 3-4 minutes to get to the beach or from the beach to the Village .
It runs every 30 minutes during the day times. (It is the public beach i am talking about)

Allways search for different options and alternative ways of transportation to save alot of cash ...

For example ;
you can talk to Local Travel Agency Sarigerme Tours and ask them How much would they charge ,they allways provide good service for reasonable price.

OR...

Lets say You wish to Travel around a bit ...and You wish to go to Dalaman Town or to Koycegiz or to Marmaris maybe a bit further to Istanbul ect...

Where ever you wish to go ;

You need to go to nearest OTOGAR(Otogar means Bus station) .

How and from where can you go to nearest Otogar ?

There are two Otogars near to Sarigerme ;

  • ORTACA OTOGAR (per person from Sarigerme is 2,5 YTL - about £ 0.80)
  • DALAMAN OTOGAR

Where ever you want to go ,you need to go to ORTACA Bus Station first.
For example :If you wish to go to Dalaman from Sarigerme , You need to go to Ortaca Otogar first ,then from there you can take Dolmus to Dalaman Otogar.

All you need to do is , go to the Village of Sarigerme (Osmaniye is the name of the Village,Sarigerme is the Beach,but doesn't matter ) get a Shuttle Bus "DOLMUS" as we call them in Turkey .They run frequently ,if you wish to know when the next one is just ask a local Person.You don't need to speak Turkish for that.Just point to your watch (or to your wrist if you dont have a watch on you) and say Dolmus ?
The Dolmushes are placed usually at the main entrance of the Village ,you can not miss it .
But ,if you stay at the Palace or Tropical Hotels , every 30 minutes Dolmushes are available at the front of the Hotel.

The Dolmus (dolmush)

is typically Turkish and can be found everywhere. These are mainly minibuses travelling relatively short distances. A dolmus usually waits and starts in the bus station (Otogar) until it is full and then leaves. You can board a dolmus anywhere on its route by signaling it to stop for you. Similarly you can get off at a convenient point anywhere along the route. The destination of the dolmus is posted in the windscreen. In summer the latest hour of departure of the minibuses or dolmus is 24.00. This kind of public transport is cheap and efficient and works very well all over Turkey.

Then,ones you in the OTOGAR ,you will see people whom shouting the names of the destinations e.g "KOYCEGIZ - MARMARIS -ISTANBUL" usually they do approach you and ask you where you want to go.(These people do work for small amount of commision paid by the Bus Comapanies and will not effect the amount you will pay) If not, you can just walk into the offices of Bus Companies.Some of them are well known companies such as PAMUKKALE or KAMIL KOC (my favourite) or VARAN or METRO .

Simply tell them where you want to go !
